As Toni Santoro will tell you jokingly, "It takes us four times as long to make a dollar as it does everybody else." That's the reality for the owners of laundromats around the metro but lately those dollars have been disappearing and their equipment has been vandalized.

Santoro and her husband Todd own a handful of laundromats and as distributors of equipment serve most of the others in the metro area.

"Our losses are right around $35-40,000 but everyone combined is closer to $70 and maybe as much as $100,000," said Todd Santoro.

Security cameras at stores near 50th & Leavenworth, 38th & Leavenworth, 26th & Leavenworth, 31st & Sprague and 40th & Ames show the same suspect cutting through vending machines and laundry coin boxes.

Santoro is also offering a $1,000 cash reward for a tip that leads to an arrest and, as a distributor of equipment, is also offering to replace damaged vending and laundry machines at cost.
