The champ made good on a promise Monday. Terence Crawford made a stop at Miller Park Elementary school.
Terence is the new lightweight boxing champion of the world and he showed up at the school with his title belt and a message for the kids.
Crawford grew up in the neighborhood and told the students that they too could reach their goals if they worked hard.
He said, “When I was here before I left I told them I would come back world champion. I’m back, so it means a lot for them to see that you can make something out of nothing."
This was the first time that Crawford has shown the belt in public.
