Gun violence and protecting women from it were just two of the topics raised in a Twitter Town Hall Friday with Nebraska 2nd District Congressman Lee Terry.
One person had heard about low power FM radio stations coming to Omaha. Terry said they're low power, nonprofit stations serving smaller communities. His bill would allow them in Omaha.
Someone asked if Terry would be more willing to compromise or just follow the Republican talking points. "I have a simple position," said Terry. "Balance tax reform with spending reform. When the president has the courage to govern, I will join him."
Another person wondered about a ban on assault weapons and renewal of the Violence Against Women Act. Terry said a ban on assault weapons was ineffective, but he'll consider other strategies. He said he strongly supports the Violence Against Women Act.
