Omaha’s Terence Crawford put on a boxing clinic in Scotland on Saturday taking the WBO lightweight title from Ricky Burns.
Crawford dominated every round to win the title and a welcome home ceremony is planned at Eppley Airfield on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. He’s expected to arrive at 6:44 p.m. on United Airlines flight #6397.
Crawford grew up training at CW Boxing in Omaha, but more recently has been training in Colorado.
In an interview with WOWT before he left for Scotland, he told us he was ready.
“It's always been my dream. I never wanted to go to the Olympics or get the gold medal,” he said. “I always wanted to be a world champion, so now that it's here, I'm just ready for it."
That was an understatement.
Congratulations to The Champ!
