Teens Help Organize Weekend March

Young people in the Next Youth Movement are helping to organize a march to fight drugs and violence.
Next Youth Movement represents a partnership between the LiveWise Coalition and Thrive Center Omaha. On Saturday it will sponsor a march in North Omaha to promote community betterment.
Young people involved are excited about the event. Jacob Sanders is a Next Team Member and he is marching to fight drug and alcohol abuse. Sanders says "we need to do more to stop it to prevent kids from walking into a store and being able to buy liquor you know and alcohol".
The march is open to the public. It starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 9 at 16th and Lake Street and ends at 42nd and Ames.
