Omaha Police have taken another gun off our streets and arrested an 18-year-old and 17-year-old.
According to police reports, an officer on patrol noticed an unnamed Hispanic teenager crossing in the middle of the block near 29th & Mason around 8:30 last Friday night.
The report note the teen was almost hit by on coming cars.
The officer turned his cruiser around and the teen took off running.
The officer chased the teen down an alley but lost him.
Other officers converged on the area and located the teen with 18-year-old Francisco Diego. Both took off running when they saw officers.
Diego was caught and the other teen was located a short time later.
Diego was in possession of a revolver, a small amount of marijuana. He was charged with possession of an unregistered firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing a police officer, possession of marijuana and two outstanding warrants.
The younger teen was charged with minor in possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed firearm and obstruction. He was booked in to the Douglas County Youth Center.
The younger teen's name is not being released because he is a minor.
