Teen Ruled Competent to Stand Trial for Murder

An Iowa teenager charged with murder has been found competent to stand trial.

Cody Metzker-Madsen is now 18.

On Monday, a judge ruled that he is competent to stand trial for the death of his five-year-old foster brother, Dominic Elkins.

The younger boy's body was found at the bottom of a ravine near Logan, Iowa last August.

Attorneys and the judge are working to set a date for the case to go to trial.
