A 15-year-old boy was killed and five other teens injured in a car accident north of Waverly Tuesday evening.
The crash occurred a little after 7 p.m. at 148th Street and Raymond Road. The car driven by a 15-year-old girl with only a learner's permit went out of control on the gravel road, rolled at least twice and landed on its wheels in a ditch next to a cornfield.
Two of the six were ejected, including the boy who died, Taylon Artman of Eagle. The names of the injured teens haven't been released. All are recovering at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln.
No one was wearing a seat belt and authorities say speed is believed to have been a factor.
