A teenager, charged in connection with an early June murder, is out of jail and in the custody of the Douglas County Youth Center's Home Program.
Judge Barrett approved the release of 17-year-old Devante Rahn Tuesday morning in Douglas County Court. Official court records indicate “released on own recognizance,” but both the state and defense attorney asked for Rahn to be placed into the home program.
Rahn and three others: 15-year-old Danny Harden-Bolton, 13-year-old Armani Brown, and 16-year-old Kiwan Dampeer are all charged in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old Brandon Wallace. Harden-Bolton is the accused gunman, Rahn is accused of tampering with the weapon allegedly used in the shooting.
Rahn's stepmother was in court Tuesday, but declined to comment. He is due back before a judge July 15th.
