Suspected shoplifters not loading up a cart with the cheap stuff but 32 dollar a bottle vodka. Papillion Police Sgt Jeff Payton says security video shows thieves acting as a team. Payton says, "They’ve got it down to a science, they're in and out”
A man and two women working together but often acting apart hit the Papillion Wal-Mart starting in the liquor aisle. It’s tough to walk out of a store like Wal-Mart with 10 bottles of expensive vodka and not get noticed. So the shoplifter used rolls of paper towels to cover the booze.
Several camera angles show the man quickly pushing the paper towel filled cart heading through the store. One woman nearby on a cell phone while another suspected accomplice is never far away. Sgt. Payton says, "They’re just lookouts throughout the building to make sure nobody is following them around, keeping an eye out so they'll let the male suspect know.."
One female accomplice briefly distracts the Wal-Mart greeter as the suspect heads for the door. A cart full of merchandise that includes an expensive Dyson vacuum shoplifted. The other woman follows close behind. Sgt.Payton says, "They steal like we shop."
A team of shoplifters with a game plan that police believe has been used at other stores.
