Teacher Convicted of Public Indecency

A metro school teacher has been convicted of public indecency. Michael McIntosh, an English teacher at Bryan High, was accused of exposing and touching himself in front of a woman in a Bellevue parking lot.

McIntosh sat still in a Sarpy County courtroom Tuesday, rarely looking up from the floor. He did offer an explanation but the judge didn’t buy it.

The woman he allegedly exposed himself to said she was on the passenger side of his car when he asked her for directions to Highway 370. When she turned to look at him she saw he was exposed and touching himself.

The 911 call played in court painted a picture of a shocked woman. She said she felt violated and disgusted.

McIntosh said he doesn't recall the event because he had taken prescribed OxyContin that morning because of dental work.

Despite defense attempts to delay the trial and look into the possibility of temporary insanity, the judge continued on and found McIntosh guilty of public indecency and disturbing the peace. He was ordered to serve 180 days and must pay a $200 fine.

The Omaha Public School District released a statement to WOWT 6 News confirming that McIntosh is on administrative leave pending an investigation.
