A former Johnson County Central High School Spanish teacher accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student waived her preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
Twenty-four-year-old Carrie Miller of Tecumseh, Nebraska is charged with sexual assault and enticement through electronic devices. She is alleged to have had sexual contact with the boy approximately 50-60 times in the fall of 2012.
Court documents indicate the two routinely exchanged text messages, graphic photographs and inappropriate conversations. Several of the alleged encounters took place in Nemaha County at an abandoned farmstead and were often arranged by cell phone. Because of this, Miller faces more charges in Nemaha County.
Miller was married to a Lincoln man at the time of the alleged assaults. The couple filed for divorce in February 2013.
Miller is due back in court on June 30th.
