Lincoln police used a Taser to subdue a suspect who fled from a traffic stop Wednesday morning.
Officer Michon Morrow said police attempted to make a traffic stop for expired registration tags near 27th and Kimco just after 2 a.m. when 24-year-old Erick Williams pulled into a parking lot, got out of his car and ran.
A police dog was brought in and tracked Williams to a trailer park near 25th and Teresa, where officers found him hiding under a porch. Williams tried to run again and was tasered.
Williams, who was also wanted for absconding on parole for a previous narcotics charge, was taken to the Lancaster County Diagnostic and Evaluation Center.
