Thursday night dozens gather to "Take Back the Night."
Their goal is to bring more awareness and sensitivity to the topic of abuse. People gathered at Stinson Park at Askarben Village.
The event was sponsored by UNO's Women's Resource Center. Organizers many in the group have been some how impacted by abuse.
"I was actually not sexually assaulted, but physically attacked in the Benson area. That was probably one of those moments where you realize that this can affect anyone at any moment," said Colleen O'Doherty, Organizer.
The event included speakers from abuse survivors.
