The landscape is filling in across the street from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. The new Pinnacle Bank Arena is taking shape and Friday the media was allowed a close-up look.
Construction began last winter. The arena is slated to be finished in the fall of 2013. When it's done the facility will seat up to 18,000 people. It will be home to the Husker men's and women's basketball teams and host concerts and other events.
