Suspended Driver Gets Surprise At Gas Station

Suspended driver picks wrong place to stop.

Scott Tingelhoff, Saunders County Attorney, reports on December 3, 2012, Christopher Oltjenbruns was charged with Driving Under Suspension-15 Year Revocation, a class IV Felony, which has a maximum sentence of up to 5 years imprisonment. He is scheduled to appear in the Saunders County Court for Felony 1st Appearance on December 18, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

On November 2, 2012, a trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol, went into a gas station and observed Oltjenbruns there, had a brief conversation with him and then observed him walk out of the store and proceed to get in the driver’s side of the pickup. The officer believed he was on a 15 year suspension. The trooper verified Oltjenbruns status so he initiated a traffic stop and cited him for driving during suspension.
