A suspect described by authorities as a master car thief has been arrested. The Fugitive Task Force not only found him with the key to a stolen car but also a handcuff key on a necklace.
Fugitive Task Force Coordinator John Huggins said,,'It means if an officer wasn't very observant he could place handcuffs on the suspect and the suspect could have gotten the key and got out of the handcuffs."
The suspect 38 year old Keith Baker was arrested Tuesday afternoon at an Omaha Motel. Officer blocked in a car in the parking lot that was reported stolen.
Huggins said, "He's a master car thief, he steals a lot of cars." Huggins said Baker has ties to two separate incidents last week involving suspects fleeing police and troopers in Council Bluffs in stolen vehicles.. Huggins said, "That's the information we got is that he provided them with those vehicles."
