Update: Wanted Suspect Arrested In Murder

More than seven weeks after Timothy Howell was gunned down, a suspect has been arrested.

Twenty-one-year-old Camrin Burton was booked on two counts each of first-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. No details about Burton's arrest have been released.

A second person, Spencer Mason, was also injured in the July 5th shooting at 14th and Ames. His injuries were not life threatening.

A warrant was issued Thursday for the arrest of a suspect in an Omaha murder.

Nineteen-year-old Timothy Howell was shot at North 14th and Ames avenues on July 5th. He died several hours later. Police are looking for 21-year-old Camrin Burton. The warrant is for first-degree felony assault, but police say the charges could still be upgraded.

Anyone with information as to Burton’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 444-7867 or 444-5656.
