An Omaha man convicted in what prosecutors called a "justified shooting" will spend time behind bars for being a felon in possession of a gun.
Dwayne Blackson was sentenced to six to eight years in prison Tuesday by Judge Schatz.
According to prosecutors, Blackson shot and killed 23-year-old Craig Brown near 44th and Larimore. Officials said it appears Brown was trying to rob Blackson and Blackson shot Brown in self-defense.
