Omaha police announced Sunday the arrest of a man they're calling a sex offender.
Twenty-year-old Eh Gay is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
The girl told child workers she had been "dating" the man for almost two years.
A police report indicates the girl's family tried to call police, but officers didn't understand because of a language barrier. Thanks to the Child Protective Services hotline, they were able to report the crime.
The report says the girl's parents told officers they tried to keep the man away from their daughter, but he wouldn't stay away, even breaking through her bedroom window on "more than one occasion".
The parents are also concerned Gay has shared sexually explicit photographs of their daughter.
Sexual Assault of a Minor is a Class 2 Felony. If convicted, Gay could face up to 50 years behind bars. The minimum sentence is one year.
