Police arrested a suspect Tuesday afternoon for allegedly groping women along Lincoln area trails.
Twenty-seven-year-old Christopher Jackson faces three counts of third-degree sexual assault and one count of misdemeanor assault.
A 20-year-old said she was running on the Antelope Valley Trail near Capital Parkway and Randolph Sunday afternoon when a man riding a bicycle passed her and slapped her bottom.
Two more incidents occurred Tuesday afternoon, one on the Mopac West Trail near 35th and X streets where a 23-year-old was running when she felt someone riding a bike get close to her. She told police she was afraid the person would steal her iPod, but instead he grabbed her behind.
A little over three hours later, two women were jogging on the Billy Wolff Trail near South 27th and A streets where they said a man on a bicycle rode by and commented about their backsides. He then came back and grabbed a 22-year-old's rear end. They called police, who caught Jackson still on the trail near 25th and N streets.
The misdemeanor assault charge dates back to last February 5th when a 40-year-old was running on the Rock Island Trail near 33rd and Calvert. Police say Jackson rode by and hit her on the lower back, causing her to fall. Police believe he was probably trying to sexually assault her as well.
