Students Get Job Advice

It's never too early for our kids to start thinking about working.

Especially by high school.

But many time they aren't sure what career path they want to take.

At Papillion/LaVista High School students in Kathy Moore's internship class are getting some advice from Tyler Gassaway, himself a product of the school district.

Gassaway graduated from Papillion South and now works at Gallup as a recruiter.

He says despite a tight job market, there are opportunities and students should build a work resume as early as possible.

"It's really great to come into the schools and see them on the right track towards finding a job and these kids are doing the right thing," he said. "They're interning they're getting that job experience early so that they set themselves up for success in the future."

The students are getting their first step into the job market while taking the class.

They have to hold a job for credit.
