The College of Saint Mary students and staff donated almost two-and-a-half tons of food to the Food Bank of the Heartland. The success of the campaign is attributed to a contest between campus groups.
Recently the College of Saint Mary community came together to collect food for the Food Bank of the Heartland in the Yes We Can! Food Drive.
After the items were picked up by the Food Bank, the contents were weighed and CSM’s 20 barrels totaled more than 4,877 pounds of food!
“I’m so impressed with how the CSM community came together to support the Food Drive and help out those in need this holiday season,” said Jenny Wittstock, director of student organizations and leadership at CSM and chair of the Food Drive.
