Twenty-four teams went head-to-head and tech-to-tech Wednesday for a robotic showdown.
Most of the 200 students involved attend Omaha elementary schools.
They built robots from scratch and put them to the test moving objects in competition paced by a running clock.
Parents and other students cheered them on.
Student Quinton Schievelvein said, “If you know how to build stuff thus know how to build more advancements, build your own technology."
A combined team from Skinner and Boyd elementary schools took top honors. The grade-schoolers get a trophy and a party.
