Students in the Papillion-La Vista School District learned about history in a fun and unique way on Friday. Fourth-graders at Anderson Grove Elementary gathered to watch performers from the Rose Theater put on a show to teach about Nebraska.
They learned about famous people who have had a part in Nebraska's history. Teacher Tucker Kimball said it was an excellent way to learn.
"I just think it's a great opportunity for them to see some live theater and for them to connect what they're studying in the classroom with the curriculum. The Rose does a great job to touch on the famous Nebraskans from every walk of life and the different natural features of our state as well."
Kimball said the kids loved the presentation and will be talking about it for weeks.
