Student Athletes Offered Free Assessment Of Sports Injuries

Fremont Area Medical Center's Sports Medicine team offers free assessment from Certified Athletic Trainers at a sports injury clinic at the Saturday Sports Injury Clinic from now through May 2014 (excluding major holidays.)

The clinic runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and is held in the athletic training room at Fremont High School, 16th and Lincoln. Athletes should enter on the east side, near the tennis courts, and are asked to check in by 10 a.m.

Fremont Area Medical Center’s (FAMC) Sports Medicine team provides free training coverage at eight area schools – Bergan, Cedar Bluffs, Fremont High, Logan View, Lyons, Mead, North Bend, and Scribner-Snyder.

In the event additional medical evaluation and/or treatment by a physician is recommended, the athlete will be given the option to choose an Emergency Department, their primary care physician or an orthopedic surgeon.

Charges incurred for additional medical services are the responsibility of the student’s parent or legal guardian and will be billed accordingly.
