Just before 1AM, police responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex near 49th & Center.
A woman living there had a split lip and redness on her neck and chest after getting in to an argument with her boyfriend over his ex-girlfriend.
Twenty-five year-old Jacqueice D. Witcher was charged with Felony Assault by Strangulation and domestic disturbing the peace.
Around 3:15 AM, police were called to Creighton University Medical Center on a cutting call.
Officers found a 48-year-old man with cuts on his right wrist and left thumb. He told police he was assaulted by his girlfriend.
The man said he and 30-year-old Marcella J. Thunderhawk were involved in a verbal argument when Thunderhawk broke a bottle and began swinging it at him.
Police went to the couple's home near 42nd & Emmet where Thunderhawk was arrested without incident. She is charged with Second Degree Assault and Using a Weapon to Commit A Felony.
Police were also called to yet another domestic disturbance near 36th & Farnam around 4AM where a woman fought off an attack by her ex-boyfriend.
Police say 36-year-old Peter J. Novak forced his way into the 27-year-old woman's apartment after being told he wasn't welcome there.
Novak allegedly began choking the woman but she was able to grab something to defend herself and cut Novak above the eye and get free.
Novak is facing charges of Assault by Strangulation and Domestic Disturbing the Peace.
