Work is under way to repair damage at the Bellevue Medical Center after a stormy weekend.
Officials say strong winds, estimated at nearly 80 mph, damaged the exterior paneling on the northwest corner of the hospital Sunday morning. That damage allowed water to enter an unoccupied portion of the fourth floor, causing cosmetic damage to some patient rooms on the floor below.
The hospital says in a statement Monday that staff moved a small number of patients as a precaution, and no patients or employees were in danger or injured.
Work crews have already started removing loose debris from the property and have brought materials on site to begin repairs.
