Christmas is just two days away and that means many people will be hitting the stores to do their last-minute shopping and some stores are staying open 24 hours to try and get those customers in.
Retailers are trying to attract last-minute shoppers with price cuts and deals. Some places have deals of up to 60 percent off. Some stores, such as Macy’s, Toys R Us and Target are staying open 24 hours through Christmas Eve.
Retail analysts say holiday sales are on track to rise 4.1 percent to $586 billion. It’s the most optimistic forecast since the recession, but according to a consumer poll, some people said uncertainty about the "fiscal cliff" has caused them to spend less on gifts this year.
