Stitching Together Cases In Crochet Scheme

A warning tonight about an on line crochet business. Fact Finders unraveled a scheme to take customers money and not deliver blankets. A victim who also found an expected charge on her credit card.

Weeks ago she used her credit card to buy a 50 dollar baby blanket from Snuggle Buggle Crochet Creations in Decorah, Iowa.
Marie says” No blanket and she has completely cut me off."
But the owner of Snuggle Buggle Crochet Creations didn't cut off Marie's credit card number, charging her more than five hundred dollars for the fifty dollar blanket. The owner blamed a bank error but Marie doesn't buy it. Marie says, ”I was played for a fool and I didn't get the blanket.
"
The operator of Snuggle Buggle Crochet Creations Cheryl Albrecht promised in July the blanket had been shipped but Marie still waits for delivery.

An Iowa sheriff's detective Gordon Buss tells Fact Finders he's stitched together ten separate fraud cases against the operator of Snuggle Buggle Crochet Creations and he'd like to get a court order to shut the site down.

The Better Business Bureau gives Snuggle Buggle Crochet Creations and F rating. BBB President Jim Hegarty says,” Multiple attempts to reach out to the company and in some cases the company made promises and not delivered on their promise."

Marie has found the company on dozens of online garage sale sites.
She says, ” Sure she's going to get more people so we need to stop her."

The Iowa sheriff's detective tells Fact Finders he's worked numerous scam cases against the Cheryl Albrecht-Zweibohmer the last five years. He says the suspect who is a single mother has avoided serious jail time. That may change as more on line victims file reports. Neither Albrecht-Zweibohmer or her attorney have returned our phone calls.
