A Nebraska State Patrol spokesman said the FBI hasn't taken over the investigation of Lacey Anderson's death, but its agents are available to help. He said local authorities have exhausted all leads in the case.

The 19-year-old Anderson disappeared August 23, 2009. Her body was found three months later.

Court documents indicate Anderson was a witness in several criminal cases and had provided information to police investigators. She also faced felony charges involving a drive-by shooting.
