Travis Golden, Michelle Peeler and Teresa Liggins were arrested August 28, 2011 for alleged involvement in two separate prostitution incidents near the state capitol.
A Lincoln police officer seemed to have an easy time nabbing prostitution suspects in the shadow of the state capitol this weekend. Actually, there was no shadow since the crimes were reported at 1:50am.
A plain clothes police officer reports that while in an unmarked vehicle, Michelle Peeler approached him just south of the capitol building and offered to perform a sex act for $40. She was arrested for soliciting prostitution.
Then 20 minutes later, the officer reports that Travis Golden approached him on a bicycle. He asked the undercover officer what he needed. The officer says he simply replied that he was just, “looking for a friend.” A few minutes later, Golden returned with Teresa Liggins who offered to perform a specific act on the officer for $40. Golden was arrested for pandering. Liggins was arrested for soliciting prostitution.
