Dozens of police officers swarmed into a North Omaha neighborhood Friday where a woman had allegedly been strangled by her brother. Now, he's in jail, facing charges.

Police converged on 36th and Forest Lawn. A caller had claimed that the man had a gun and there was a brief standoff.

Forty-eight-year-old Richard Borys was charged with felony terroristic threats, strangulation/assault, 2nd degree assault and felony gun use.

His sister was taken to Immanuel hospital, and according to reports, her face was badly beaten. She told police that Borys strangled her until she lost consciousness, beat her head and face into the floor until she lost vision and sat on her so that she couldn't breathe. She also told police that during the assault, he told her that he would "let her live" if she admitted to some things he was upset about.
