An accused stalker plead not guilty Friday while the alleged victim claimed she's been living like a prisoner in her own home, sending photos to prosecutors that show bars on her windows.
The victim has taken other measures to prevent the alleged stalker from peering into her house. Still afraid, the woman doesn’t want to be identified, though she knows she'll eventually have to testify about her fears in court.
“I'm afraid because of what he says he has done, that he's sat in the shadows with binoculars and apparently he could see through the venetian blinds at some point.”
Fifty-two-year-old Arthur Rivera faces eight misdemeanors, one count each for stalking trespass and disturbing the peace. He's also been charged with five counts of intimidation by phone with four of those charges added Friday. His trial is scheduled to begin April 1st.
