Stabbings At Intersection

The Cassgram reports that Cass County sheriff’s deputies and Weeping Water Rescue responded to a stabbing report near Main and Cherry Streets in Manley at 9:54pm Sunday.

Upon arrival, deputies found two stabbing victims: Alisha Ridge, 24 years old, and her mother Monica Fouts, 39 years old, both of Manley.

Witnesses say 21-year-old Shanna Sheehan used a small knife to stab Ridge on her forearm. Fouts who was a half a block away heard the screaming and ran to assist Ridge. A struggle ensued which led to Fouts receiving two puncture wounds to her right arm. Sheehan reportedly ran from the scene.

Deputies located the suspect a few hours later at her Weeping Water residence. Sheehan was arrested and booked on suspicion of second degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Fouts and Ridge were treated and released at the scene by Weeping Water Rescue.
