St Pius X St Leo School Wins $25,000 Education Prize

Students, teachers and administrators at St. Pius X/St. Leo School in Omaha are $25,000 richer today after being named a 2013 champion in U.S. Cellular’s (NYSE: USM) Calling All Communities campaign.

The winning schools garnered the most community votes and each won $25,000 to use as they wish to enhance their educational experience.

The 20 winners in U.S. Cellular’s 2013 Calling All Communities campaign were revealed today in a video that was posted on the company’s website at uscellular.com.

North Carolina topped the list with four winning schools. Iowa, Tennessee and Wisconsin each tallied three winners.

St. Pius X/St. Leo School is the fourth Calling All Communities champion from Nebraska and third Omaha Catholic school winner. Humphrey St. Francis won $100,000 in 2009. St. Stephen the Martyr School and Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School in Omaha each won $50,000 in 2011 and ’12, respectively.
