When firefighters arrived at the scene of an Omaha business Saturday morning they found the flames had already been put out by the sprinkler system.
An automatic alarm was received from the Hot Shops Art Center at North 13th and Nicholas streets just before 5 a.m. When crews arrived there was water pouring out of one of the building's delivery bays.
Once inside, firefighters found there had been a fire, possibly starting in a couch in one of the studios, but the sprinkler system had extinguished the flames.
Firefighters told WOWT 6 News damage was confined to that one area. An unfinished 10-foot painting was destroyed.
