The Heartland didn’t even hit a record, but you could still feel it as temperatures hit the 70's Tuesday.
Vicki Smith and Judy Swotek broke out the sunglasses as they walked around the Walnut Creek Reservoir in Papillion.
“We took off work early and decided it wasn't a busy day and we're going to take a little walk together,” says Smith.
They weren't alone.
Kris Kretz and his fiancé Bridget decided to spend the nice day with their dogs.
“Weather comes and goes and you never know what your going get around here so you have to take advantage of the good weather when it does come,” says Kretz.
Even with the wind, Kretz says the weather is a great way to start out march.
“It's hit or miss.” “Later in March it could be snowing or it could be 80 degrees but right now I’ll take what I can get.”
Temperatures were in the 70’s Tuesday, but will soon drop down into the 30’s by Wednesday afternoon.
The constant changing weather isn't sitting well with some.
“It's rather depressing, I'm kind of liking the warm weather,” says Vicki Smith.
Brian Martin says he doesn't mind it. He's been out looking for bass all day and says Nebraskans have had it good this year.
“Being from Nebraska you can't really say it's been cold this year.”
