I-80- in Nebraska, one mile east of the Wyoming border.
A spring snowstorm has forced closure of several highways in the Nebraska Panhandle and made road travel hazardous, if not impossible.
Interstate 80 is closed west of Sidney. Portions of north-south Nebraska Highway 71 are closed, as are sections of U.S. Highway 385. A 20-mile portion of U.S. Highway 20 is closed east of Chadron.
A winter storm warning from the National Weather Service says the storm will dump up to a foot of snow in the Panhandle through Tuesday, whipped by sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts of more than 45 mph.
A Nebraska State Patrol dispatcher says there have been several accidents in the area, mostly of vehicles sliding off roadways.
