Plows were out in full force Friday, dealing with several inches of snow from Thursday's storm.
According to the National Weather Service, snowfall totals ranged from nine inches in Fremont to eight inches in Glenwood, Iowa. Millard and Papillion received a little over six inches.
"This storm is a perfect example of why you never buy a computer model's high snow forecast four to five days ahead of time," said WOWT meteorologist Rusty Lord. "Last weekend, the Weather Channel showed graphics that said 12 to 18 inches for this storm. We waited until 36 hours before the storm before we made our forecast of seven to 10 inches of snow. Eppley Airfield reported 8.3 inches."
Alegent Creighton Health reports treating 28 weather-related injuries at its six metro emergency rooms since Thursday night. They ranged from motor vehicle accidents and slips/falls to sledding and snow blower accidents.
