It may seem hard to fathom with today's mild weather, but snow could be targeting the Heartland by the end of the week.
A sharp cold front is on schedule to plow through our region on Thursday. The cold front could initially trigger a cold rain or a wintry mix for the Omaha area which will likely switch to snow by Friday morning as colder air continues to get funneled across the Heartland.
At this point, only light snow is expected, but especially north and west of the metro, an inch or two is possible. Keep checking back with The Weather Authority as we continue to fine tune and update the forecast.
Interestingly, the average date of the first inch of snow for Omaha is November 23rd.
