The entire area dealt with record cold both Sunday and Monday morning.
Omaha experienced it's coldest ever afternoon high for the month of March on Sunday at 4°. This dates back to the 1880s when records first started being kept.
Also, Omaha broke the record low for March 3rd falling to 6 degrees below zero. This broke the previous March 3rd record of 5 degrees below zero set in 2002.
Warmer temperatures will begin to overspread the area Tuesday with highs back in the middle 30s.
