Channel 6 News Fact Finders learned Friday night that David Smalheiser has officially been promoted to Omaha city prosecutor.
He takes over for Marty Conboy, who retired in September after 30 years with the city. Smalheiser had been serving as interim city prosecutor.
The city prosecutor handles misdemeanor cases.
