The National Weather Service continues the heat advisory through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures once again on Tuesday will rise to the upper 90s however high humidity will make it feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
Omaha received 0.6 inches of snow Sunday, ending its record snow-less streak at 295 days, which broke the old mark of 284 days.
Omaha's previous measurable snowfall came February 24, 2012 with 0.2 inches. With an expected low overnight temperature of 26 degrees, wet streets and sidewalks could freeze. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to use caution through Monday morning.
The snow that fell will likely melt later on Monday with highs in the lower 40s expected under partly sunny skies. A better chance for more significant snowfall arrives Wednesday afternoon with several inches of accumulation possible.
