The sixth person, linked to a stolen vehicle that has been connected to the murder of five-year-old Payton Benson, appeared in court Monday for a bond hearing.
Like the other suspects, Jacob Brown is now being held on $1 million bond. In court Monday, prosecutors said they believe Brown was driving the stolen Jeep that was seen leaving the murder scene.
So far, no one has been charged with Payton Benson's murder.
A sixth suspect is in custody, linked to a stolen vehicle that has been connected to the murder of five-year-old Payton Benson. He is identified as 21-year-old Jacob J. Brown II.
Brown is charged with receiving a stolen item; a felony.
Five others were picked up earlier.
They have all been connected with the stolen SUV that surfaced in the investigation of Payton's death. She was killed by a stray bullet from a drive-by shooting incident that took place a block from her home. The bullet struck her while she was in the house.
The suspects in custody have not been charged directly in connection with the homicide.
