Signs Gambling Decreasing In Some Areas

Keno numbers in Cass County show some gambling decrease. The information comes from the latest Quarterly City/County Lottery Activity Report released through the Nebraska Department of Revenue. (The state collects the information from the licensees.)

The following is this year’s first quarter report. The first total is for 1/1 through 3/31 2011 followed by comparisons from the same quarter in 2010 in [ ].

Plattsmouth- $504,640/[$537,689]

Cedar Creek- $17,530/[$37,568]

Eagle- $52,127/[$58,603]

Louisville- $22,521/[$22,120]

Greenwood- $13,956/[$39,046]

Murdock- $16,734/[$34,328]

Cass County- $43,942/[$54,809]

The statewide city/county totals- $51.5 million/[$49.8 million]

Among cities with keno lotteries, the Plattsmouth gaming activity ranked 14th in the state in the first quarter of 2011.
