Shots Fired Call Turns Into Chase

Police say shots were fired into the air in the area of 60th and Woolworth. It happened about 1:30 this morning.

Officers driving to the location saw a car driving away from the scene and tried to stop it.

The driver killed his headlights and a short chase ensued.

The pursuit ended at 58th and Center when the driver lost control and crashed into the wooded area outside a nearby mortuary.

Two female passengers and one male passenger were quickly taken into custody.

The driver, the suspected shooter, took off running into the woods.

K-9 units were called in to assist with the search, but couldn't find the missing man.

The suspect remains on the loose.

The owner of the vehicle, 25-year-old Jessica Prusha, was booked for possessing a controlled substance.

The other two passengers were released from custody.

Details on the missing man have yet to be released.
