It only takes a shoplifter seconds to steal if a clerk is distracted.
Our WOWT6-Crimestoppers video -- shows how easy it can be.
A customer asks to see two expensive I-pads valued at -500-dollars each. When another customer asks for help, the clerk leaves the counter for a few minutes.
That’s when the suspect grabbed the two I-pads and walked out of Wal-mart near highway 370 and Interstate 80.
Detective Dana Harrah with the Sarpy county Sheriff's office says, "It just looks like a crime of opportunity and the clerk mistakenly left the ipads laying on the counter and he took advantage of the situation and walked out with the ipads.
There is one good lead. The suspect arrived at the store in a red car so someone drove him there.
If anyone recognizes the car or suspect call Sarpy county crime stoppers at 592-stop.
