Omaha police called to 28th and Young around 10:30 a.m. Thursday for a shooting had to chase after the victim.
The man had a wound to the stomach that was not life threatening. He was taken to the hospital, but would not cooperate with police. His name has not been released.
“I heard two shots go off and sounded like clearly, shot of a Glock 9,” said neighborhood resident Kody Kaiser. “Normally this neighborhood is pretty quiet, this ain’t regular down here, kind of scary.”
Police said it does not appear to be a random act of violence. Carter Lake police could also be involved in this investigation.
