Omaha Police are sorting through a shooting that came to light Monday night when the victim stumbled to a store near 42nd and Ames looking for help.
Thirty-one-year-old Demetrius Williams was taken to the hospital with a what was believed to be a graze wound or shrapnel wound. He is expected to be okay.
Authorities believe the victim was driving by the area when someone fired at his vehicle. There were at least two bullet holes in the car. Glass was smashed.
Another vehicle, driving by the scene, crashed across the street. Police tape quickly went up and the intersection was sealed off to traffic.
Shortly after 10 o'clock, police converged on a home near 27th and Saratoga where they believed the suspects may have holed up. Several people from that location were taken to police headquarters for questioning. Details about whether any of those people have been arrested have not been released.
